Meeting with the Deputy Director General of Veterinary and Food Board Olev Kalda
Founders of FoodDocs, Katrin Liivat and Karin Repp met Deputy Director General of Veterinary and Food Board, Olev Kalda last week. Also chemical and biological Food Safety Bureau representative Ingrid Vesmes was participating in the meeting. Meeting was extremely positive, participants met each other and convinced that the aim is the same – to increase the quality of food safety among Estonian food handling companies.
We were really happy about finding a meeting invitation from Deputy Director General of Veterinary and Food Board Olev Kalda. Often is the first question from our customers – what does Veterinary and Food Board think about FoodDocs. So, it is really important that our food safety dashboard is applicable for both parties. The meeting was really positive, participants met each other and discussed about bigger problems for FoodDocs customers and inspectors. All participants convinced that Veterinary and Food Board, FoodDocs and Ministry of Rural Affairs have the same aim – to increase the level of food safety among Estonian food handling companies. Also FoodDocs as the next e-government project was discussed. Participants decided that the first cooperative pilot project will be launched from the autumn and FoodDocs will have the opportunity to introduce its possibilities and aim to local inspectors. So can all inspectors give their feedback to development of FoodDocs dashboard. Every feedback for our dashboard makes the system better!
We are really happy that there is such an innovative Ministry of Rural Affairs and Veterinary and Food Board in Estonia. We are sure that it encourages escalation of FoodDocs to other e-friendly countries and soon we can introduce the next e-government solution in Estonia.
